There exists a deep and powerful hope to make a difference in lives of children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). By fulfilling the mission of Ruth’s Home for Children, “bringing hope to Congo’s orphans,” we are afforded the opportunity to support children in difficult circumstances. Bringing awareness to the struggles of displaced children of the Congo is important to improve their quality of life. With greater awareness, greater resources are poured into the effort of rescuing children and transforming their lives through the love of Christ.
It is said that “True compassion means not only feeling another’s pain, but also being moved to help relieve it.”
Without compassion, we cannot be moved to fulfill our mission. True love is vital to supporting the emotional and spiritual needs of vulnerable children in Congo. This is how we act on God’s lessons of loving our neighbors as ourselves. Through the power of love, Ruth’s Home will be able to touch the lives of children who have been orphaned or abandoned.
The overall vision of Ruth’s Home is to improve the quality of life of orphaned and vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which is accomplished by creating a positive impact in the community. Our contributions will create a long-lasting impact in the lives of the affected children.
“Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.”
As an organization, we take a holistic approach to helping children out of the difficult positions they are in. We provide food, water, clothing, shelter, education, to children in need while placing an emphasis on our Christian values of love, compassion, and generosity.
